Nasdaq leading the way ahead of Apple earnings
The US stocks are closing with another strong showing. The final numbers are showing the Nasdaq leading the charge. European shares were not as upbeat (ended with mixed results) at their close during the session.
Below are the ranges and $ changes of the major indices today. The Nasdaq closed up 1.75%. The UK FTSE was the worst performer today in Europe with a fall of -0.19%.
Apple will report earnings at around 4:30 PM ET. The stock closed at $222.22 (how's that for symmetry), up 1.54% on the day..
The estimates are for:
- EPS of $2.78
- Rev 61.57B
- iphone sales 47.5 M
- ipad sales 10.53M
- Mac sales 4.87M
There will also be eyes on the avg. selling price and the service sector revenues and wearables momentum.
