In the Fed's effort towards transparency, it adds more confusion
The Fed will now add median forecasts to quarterly projections on interest rates and economic data. The dot plot and other forecasts have been difficult to interpret and at one point the Fed considered doing away with them altogether.
But now they want to provide forecast medians to "provide a more robust summary measure"
The latest round of projections are due in September.
