The S&P 500 is up 15 points to 1857 a few minutes ahead of comments from Janet Yellen.

The Fed chair speaks at 12:25 pm ET (1625 GMT) at the Economic Club of New York. She will speak from a prepared text and then take questions from moderators.

There isn’t a great deal of anticipation about the appearance. Look for comments on the direction of the economy and anything related to a timeline about when a rate hike might come.

Update: the dollar is now edging lower… dovish expectations maybe?
