The Fed really does have a single mandate, it’s the stock market

• The Fed’s Jeremy Stein says QE may give a ‘significant boost to stock prices’

Reminds me of Bernanke saying that the first he checks in the morning is the stock market.

I understand that what’s good for General Electric is good for the American worker but it paints the Fed in a bad light.
