The Reserve Bank of New Zealand June policy meeting announcement is this week
- June 21 at 2100GMT
- (Which is 9am June 22 local time in New Zealand)
There is no press conference nor detailed Monetary Policy Statement
- There will be a short statement from the Bank accompanying (around 5 or 6 paragraphs) the decision
I'll have previews as we approach, but in short there is pretty much no expectation of a change in the Official Cash Rate (OCR) and a maintained neutral outlook for interest rates. Markets had, in general, been leaning towards a hike from the RBNZ in coming months, but last week's data showing Q1 GDP was weaker than many had expected has led to a dialling back in expectations of a hike.
