EUR/USD and cable are both firming modestly in afternoon trade, helped in part by a persistent bid in US equities this afternoon. The S&P is up 0.4%
On the topside, watch the 1.3165/70 area intitially (the rebound high from 1.3131 lows) and 1.3180/85, the support area in EUR/USD broken this morning after the ISM data.
In cable, the 1.5895 is important resistance. Expect short-covering from intraday players if that level is overcome for long.
