The Commodities Reaserch Bureau index continues to firm this morning, up 0.6%. Also showing continued signs of life is the insanely volatile Baltic dry freight index. It was up 8% at last check after a better than 10% rise on Monday. Chiese shares extended their recovery another 1.33% overnight.
Commodity currencies are off their best levels of early in the week as US and European shares bely the factors cited above. The S&P is down 3/4% in early trade. AUD trades below 0.6700 from Asian session opening levels around 0.6800.
