The S&P 500 climbed 6 points to 2069 shortly after the open. Friday’s intraday high was 2071.60 — an all time record.
The S&P 500 has closed at a record high 45 times this year, equaling the number from last year. If the index makes a record close more than 47times before year-end, it will be the most since 1995 — when the best-ever year of 77 record closes took place.
