Same-store sales from Redbook up 1.3% in the third week of July, compared to last year. Sales in the first three weeks of July +1.7% y/y.
The comments in the report say heat may have kept shoppers away but both numbers are below the level of inflation — not a good sign after three consecutive months of declines in the official sales figures.
