Reports overnight confirm intervention from India and Indonesia. Add them to South Korea and Russia and you can understand one of the reasons the dollar continues to rally against the majors. As central banks sell dollars against their local currencies they tend to sell non-dollar reserve holdings to balance their asset mix. This keeps the market supplied with euro and cable in this environment. It is also symbolic of investment flows moving out of these once-hot economies and back to developed markets, particularly the United States.
