A private gauge of Australian inflation, TD-MI, showed a marked easing in price pressures in April as weakening demands and falling rents dragged annual inflation down to its lowest level in four years. The pace of inflation was unchanged at 0.0% in April compared to a 0.1% drop in March. Annual Inflation slowed to 2.1% in April from 2.6% in March, the slowest since May 2005.
