The index climbs 1.4 to 284.2 points in July, according to Westpac and the Melbourne Institute. The annualized growth rate was at 3.1%. The June reading was revised to 2.7% from the initial 1.6% reading.
Economists are expecting the RBA to remain on hold for the next six months.
