The ABC is reporting that Julia Gillard will announce the long-awaited new framework for carbon pricing in about 30 minutes time.
There should be no immediate impact on the AUD although it might have some longer term implications for the mining sector. Anything affecting the mining sector will impact on the AUD as well.
