Earlier, there were reports that the ESM would total EUR 500 bln with 80 bln in paid in capital. The Austrian press reports the fund will total EUR 700 bln with only the same EUR 80 bln paid in. The rest will be made up of guarantees and callable funds.
Looks like EUR 200 bln more in smoke and mirrors….
