Bitcoin hits $9200
Bitcoin has risen 10x this year in a stratospheric rise that continued with a 5% rally today. The cryptocurrency is trading at $9277 today, up nearly $1000 since Friday.
Bitcoin opened the year just above $1000 and slowly rose to $2000 in May before exploding higher in August in a tear that's now within striking distance of $10,000.
The latest gains come despite some shady news from Tether and Bitfinex.
