LONDON (MNI) – Cover remains strong at the Bank of England’s
shorter dated reverse gilt auctions.
On Monday, the central bank saw cover of 2.72 at its 3 to 10 year
auction, up from 2.23 a week ago.
The central bank has seen weak cover at some of its over 25 year
reverse gilt auctions, but operations continue to run smoothly for
shorter maturities.
The BOE bought gilts at 10 of the 12 maturities on offer.
