BRC: Sales fell -1.2% in March

The British Retail Consortium (BRC) has reported like for like sales fell -1.2% in March on the same month a year ago, compared to a -1.8% drop in February.

The BRC however pointed out that year on year comparisons were difficult as Easter fell in April this year as opposed to March last year, and March this year featured warm sunny weather as opposed to snow and rain in 2008.
