Canada has an affordable housing problem. The solution is opening up more land to build and cutting bureaucracy, along with doing something to make it more advantageous to live outside of the major cities.
Combined with the UK announcement of the waiver of the stamp tax for first time home buyers today, it's a good indication of what voters (and politicians) are worried about.
