Canada posted its largest trade deficit on record in January at $933 mln. StatsCan pins the blame on weak auto demand.
The Loonie has strengthened dramatically in the last 15 or 20 minutes and I’d be a liar if I said I knew why. poor employment data and lousy trade rarely lead to currency gains but there is a lot going on out there these days. We’ll try and ferret out the CAD strength.
