- EUR 115K short vs 119K shor last week. Shorts trimmed by 4K
- GBP 77K short vs. 78K short last week. Short trimmed by 1K
- JPY 34K short vs 0K square position last week. Shorts increase by 34K
- CHF 25K short vs 24K short last week. Shorts increase 1K
- CAD 18K short vs. 19K short last week. Shorts trimmed by 1K
- AUD 21K long vs 21K long last week. No change in the current week.
- NZD 4K short vs 2K short last week. The shorts were increased by 2K.
The speculators raised US dollar bets to the highest since early January.
The JPY position finally turned to negative for the first time in 2016 (the last short was in the final week of December 2016. In 2016, the speculative long position worked until the September. Since that time the price has moved from 100.00 to over 115.00 today. The year ended at at 120.20.
