CHINA DATA: HSBC final November PMI due at 0945 local/0145 GMT. A result close
to the flash 50.4 expected, indicating the first month of manufacturing
expansion in 13 (CFLP said at the weekend that its November PMI hit 50.6,
slightly below the expected 50.8 but an marked improvement over October’s 50.2).
The final PMI may provide fresh evidence of China’s moderate recovery after this
year’s slowdown, though attention is already turning to the coming Sunday’s data
dump, with the morning papers indicating that consumer inflation in November may
have risen back over 2% on rising food demand.
