Meanwhile, when asked about reports of a trade truce, China responds with saying that they welcome actions that help deescalate trade tensions. That's a very political answer in the sense that they're not confirming nor denying such a report. But I reckon the fact that they're not flat out denying it should continue to allow risk assets to breathe easier today.
