Taoran Notes, a social media account affliliated with China's Economic Daily, also plays down that trade negotiations later this month, will get back on track

The Chinese state media has warned that countermeasures Beijing is taking against increased tariffs and technology containment strategy could "become routine".

Also Taoran Notes, a social media account that is affiliated with official newspaper Economic Daily, played down the expectations that end of month meeting between US and China will be able to get the trade negotiations back on track.

The site said China could impose bans on US companies supplying technology to Huawei and restrictions on rare earths for which technology is reliant upon.
