What’s the old saying? The pot calling the kettle black?

Judging from the headlines, that’s what Chinese premier Wen is doing at Davos. He says “some countries” unsustainable economic models led to crisis. Who might those unnamed countries be? later in his talk, wen allows how China is taking steps to boost domestic demand, so he seems to be at least willing to share some blame.

It is hard to pin this crisis on any one country, but the US and China have to be viewed as the ying and yang of the crisis as China exported its way to near-prosperity and the US imported excess capital from China to pay for its imports. That symbiosis worked for a decade before finally imploding as imbalances ultimately led to malfeasance.
