CNBC’s Fed geek Steve Liesman says the Fed is unlikely to hike the discount rate today. His reasoning is similar to mine: i.e., Bernanke went out of his way to telegraph the hike in rates to the market.
The FOMC meets every two weeks and the discount rate is a normal part of the discussion, he notes.
