Conference Board Leading & Coincident Economic Indexes for China, June

Leading Economic Index

  • +1.0% in (+1.1% prior)

Andrew Polk, resident economist at The Conference Board China Center in Beijing:

"Growth in the June China Leading Economic Index was virtually the same as in May, with credit creation making a substantial impact. China's growth continues to be driven by bank credit rather than stronger performance in the real economy, and as such the economic outlook remains fragile."

  • NBS Manufacturing PMI Sub-Indices: Export Orders (source: National Bureau of Statistics)
