Looks like the Democratic opposition to extending the Bush tax cuts is crumbling. House Majority Leader Hoyer says that the overwhelming Senate vote in support of the bill suggest the House should move forward.
The Senate voted to end debate on the bill and submit it for final passage (the key vote as it requires a super-majority to move forward) by a margin of 83-15.
The tax bill has undermined bond markets over the last week since it includes additional stimulus.
