Error in UK trade data from Jan 2015 to Sept 2016

The UK office for national statistics says processing error found in UK trade data from January 15 at September 2016. The error also impacted quarterly balance of payments data, but they said it does not affect total GDP

  • Revises down UK 2015 full-year trade deficit to 31.933 billion from 38.674 billion
  • revises Q3 2016 trade deficit to 17.001 billion from 11.047 billion
  • revises down Q2 2016 trade deficit to 9.929 billion from 12.691 billion
  • revises down UK 2015 current account deficit to 5.0% of GDP from 5.4%
  • revises down Q2 2016 current account deficit to 5.4% of GDP from 5.9%
