ECB Weidmann: See ECB bond purchasing program close to money printing

Not the biggest supporter..

ECB's and Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann is on the wires with criticism of the ECBs 1.8B government bond purchase program.

He says that the program is close to money printing. He is not the biggest supporter of QE.

In addition he has added that:

• Pressure on Central banks for low rates are problematic.
• Sees growth interdependence from both monetary and fiscal policy.

I guess he would not aggressively raise his hand for further QE at the next policy meeting.
