What's on the economic calendar
It's not technically a holiday in the US but it will be a bit quieter than usual. The New York Stock Exchange opens at the usual time but closes 3 hours early, at 1 pm ET.
There is some US economic data on the docket with the Markit US manufacturing and services PMIs due at 1445 GMT. Manufacturing is expected at 55.0 and services at 55.3.
It's not a holiday in Canada but there is nothing on the economic calendar there.
Other notable events still to come include French jobseekers and a speech from the ECB's Coeure. The weekly CFTC positioning data is delayed until Monday because of the holiday.
