We do have some economic data due and central bank activity due in the Asian time zone today
Not a lot, though. From the top:
2230GMT - Australia - Construction PMI for February
- AiG Performance of Construction Index. Prior was 46.3.
- Last week we got the manufacturing PMI, which was the strongest since 2010, and the services PMI which surged into expansion from 48.4 in January to 51.8 in February. It might be a little more difficult for the construction PMI to surprise with a strong performance today, last week's building approvals confirmed again the slowing in this sector. There is plenty of supply in the pipeline, but it is slowing.
0030GMT - Australia - ANZ Job Advertisements for February, prior was +1.0%
0340GMT - Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Kuroda. Kuroda has been hardly off the wires the past month; more of the same again today I would think.
0500GMT - Japan - Preliminary leading and coincident indexes for January.
Other items of note, the National People's Congress continues today (and to March 14)
