This made sense
The Polish proposed a five year time limit for the Irish backstop agreement. This made a lot of sense and I could see some type of sunset clause working (i.e. the agreement is invalid after a certain time, like a sunset going down).
However, the EU stating this is not their position. However, a public denial of the position is a potentially good first step. It obviously has enough weight to be responded to publicly.
