Big bird back on Europe's dinner plates
The EU will be lifting a four year ban on South African ostrich imports this month, according to SA's Western Cape government
The ban was put in place over an avian flu outbreak. Now farmers will be heat treating the meat before selling it abroad.
Perhaps most surprising is that the EU used to take around 80% of SA's ostrich meat and the ban hit SA farmers pretty hard
Who knew the ostrich was so popular in Europe?
Good luck trying to stuff this fellow
