A slightly more positive risk tilt as we get the session underway

  • Eurostoxx +1.0%
  • Germany DAX +1.3%
  • France CAC 40 +0.9%
  • UK FTSE +0.9%
  • Spain IBEX +1.2%
The market is keeping more optimistic as we get things going in European morning trade, with US futures also higher by about 0.4% to 0.5% now. European indices had a bit of a softer start to the new month yesterday but are leading the charge on the new day.

The focus in the day ahead will be the US jobs report first and foremost, but don't discount the latest coronavirus headlines from the US later in the day as well.

Do be reminded that today is the last trading day for US markets this week in observance of the long weekend for the 4th of July festivities tomorrow.
