The European stock markets are ending the day down on the day. The French CAC index is the laggard – falling by nearly 1.7% on the day. Overall, the major indices in Europe are all down by greater than 1%. Not a good day.

In the US at midday, the Dow is down around 50 points or 0.25%, the S&P and Nasdaq are each off by around 0.3% on the day.
The bond yields remain soft. The US 10 year yield is back below the 2.20% level. German 10 year bunds are near all time low levels. Lower inflation is the expectations as oil exerts it’s influence.
