Stocks higher. 10 year yields higher
The European stocks are ending the session with gains:
- German DAX rose by 0.18%
- France's CAC rose by 0.7%
- UK's FTSE is up by 0.4%
- Italy's FTSE MIB is up by 0.70%
- Spain's Ibex is up by 0.63%
- Portugal's PSI 20 is up by 0.23%
In the 10 year note sector yields are mostly higher:
- Germany 0.464%, up 3.3 basis points
- France 0.815%, +2.7 basis points
- UK 1.283%, up 4.6 basis points
- Spain 1.510%, up 2.8 basis points
- Italy 2.03%, up 4.6 basis points
- Portugal 1.86%, unchanged
- Greece 3.682%, -1 basis point
In other markets as London/European traders look to exit:
- Spot gold is trading down $9.45 or -0.72% at $1311
- WTI crude oil futures are up $.91 or 1.49% at $62.64
- In the US stock market the major indices are higher: S&P index is up 8.5 points or 0.3% at 2755.38. NASDAQ composite index is up seven points or 0.10% at 7164.38. Dow industrial average is up hundred and 10 points or 0.43% at 25391.
- US yields are higher. Two-year yield of 0.4 basis points. 10 year yield up 5.8 basis points at 2.5384%. 30 year yield of 7 basis points at 2.881%
A snapshot of the forex market is showing the JPY remains the strongest (and getting stronger in the NY session), while the CHF remains the weakest.
