Dealers say EUR/USD was hit with strong selling from about the 1.2645 level down to 1.2620 in what looked like a single order. Prices have come lower despite US equities bouncing about 1.5% at the open.
Almunia’s frank admission that EU leaders don’t play well together might have contributed to the dip. EUR/USD trades now at 1.2605.
