I don't think that's quite the right way to go. It'll only spark further tit-for-tat retaliation as we have seen in the whole US-China trade spat. And surely doesn't bode well for relations between the two countries.
It's still all talk at this point, so let's see. EU leaders are currently meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria.
