The draft details of the UK/EU deal has been released
- UK would be justified in triggering "Emergency Brake" to deny migrant benefits
- New safe guard mechanism would run for up to 4 years
- Deal shall only take effect if UK decides to stay in the EU
- Treaty reference to an ever closer EU does not mean political integration and does not entail more powers for EU
- Substance of deal with Britain could be written into EU treaties when next revised
These early details are pretty positive for the UK side, and as I said in the prior post, the pound is acting on that. We're up to 1.4400 once again
Cameron popping up now;
- Draft negotiation document shows real progress in all for areas where UK needs change
- There's more work to do
Donald Tusk says that the deal respects rights of Non-Euro countries but does not give them the right of veto on Eurozone matters
