Regional elections in France this weekend
- The first round
- Second round are on December 13
- National Front are expected to end up winning 2 of the 12 regions
French regions are mostly limited to infrastructure spending and tourism promotion. Nevertheless, the overall vote is sobering for Hollande:
- Across France, the National Front 27.2% (Ipsos) or 30.3% (Ifop)
- Republicans 27%
- Hollande's party 24%
