I finally got a chance to look at the dollar index chart and was surprised to see that despite the significant new high in EUR/USD today (1.4821) compared to Thursday’s 1.4766 high, the dollar index fell only to 76.22 today versus 76.23 on Thursday. Like in EUR/USD, the September, 22 2008 extreme is the next level of support for the dollar. In the index, it is at 76.02 vs 1.4866 in EUR/USD.
