LONDON (MNI) – New UK home possessions fell to their lowest level
in over 2 years in Q2, according to the Financial Services Authority.
“New cases taken into possession continue to decrease and, at 9,978
in Q2, were 5% lower than last quarter, and the lowest quarterly number
since Q1 2008,” the FSA said.
New arrears also appear to be in decline, the FSA said, with the
number of new arrears cases decreasing each quarter since the start of
2009.
In Q2 there were 37,200 cases, 8% lower than in Q1 and 27% below Q2
2009 when there were 51,200
