Labour has held the seat - close run results. No recount, all done.

  • LAB: 30.9% (-17.2)
  • BREX: 28.9% (+28.9)
  • CON: 21.4% (-25.5)
  • LDEM: 12.3% (+8.9)
  • GRN: 3.1% (+1.3)
  • UKIP: 1.2% (+1.2)

Given the fear of fragmentation and its impact on governance this will be viewed by the market as a supportive result for GBP. Marginally so given those results though …. If you wanted to suggest the results might not be constructive given both major parties gave back so much, mmm, yeah … it'd be difficult to counter.
