German building sector slump eases slightly in July

Activity in Germany’s construction sector declined for a 17th consecutive month in July, but the downturn eased slightly from the previous month.

The Markit construction index, based on a survey of more than 200 construction firms, rose to a seasonally adjusted 43.7 from 41.0 in June, but remained below the key 50 mark seperating growth from contraction.

EUR/USD sits at 1.4405, unchanged on the day.
