The index measures the value of sales made by wholesalers in Germany, it provides an indicator of consumption and retail pattern.
A minor data point, but slightly improved to Q1 so that will at least ease some worries of a further deterioration on sentiment. Let's see if this will carry on to the larger data points like the PMI readings.
