BERLIN (MNI) – Germany wants to help to make the Greek economy more
competitive again, but this goal won’t be reached quickly, German
Economics Minister Philipp Roesler said in a television interview on
Tuesday.

“This won’t be achieved already tomorrow,” Roesler told German ZDF
public television.

For Greece to attract more foreign investments, there needs to be
less bureaucracy and more stable legal conditions, the minister said.

Roesler will discuss with German businesses leaders on Wednesday
how to increase German investments in Greece. “We need more investments
in tourism, infrastructure and telecommunication,” the minister
stressed.

Moreover, German medium sized firms can share their experience with
Greek businesses how to get financing in troubled times, Roesler said.
