Tough crowd in Japan…

After just 114 days in office, the public has turned on Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda.

The share of voters who said they actively disapproved of Yoshihiko Noda, who only who took office in September, was up 14 points from a month earlier to 53 percent, the Nikkei business daily said.

The average shelf life of his four predecessors was 359 days, so it’s not a huge surprise. Still, political instability is never good for business.

I can envision a day where Japan loses its safe haven status but it won’t be in 2012.
