WASHINGTON (MNI) – Greek Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou
is “quite confident” that his country can get back to living on its own
within the next two to three years, he told reporters Saturday.

Asked how confident he is that markets believe that Greece can
live on its own within a two- to three-year time horizon, he said,
“Quite confident and we seem to be convincing them [markets that] as we
persevere with the program, we get results.”

The European Union and the IMF have agreed to lend Greece E110
billion over the next three years to help the country recover from its
severe fiscal crisis.
