The second Greek election by parliament to pick a president has failed, as was largely expected. Round 2 saw 168 to 131 in favour of Samaras’s candidate Stavros Dimas, short of the 180 needed.
We now head to the last vote on 29th Dec and 180 votes will be needed or else a general election will be called for early in the new year.
