Hong Kong protest leader: We won't leave until extradition bill is pulled
Jimmy Sham of the Civil Human Rights Front tells reporters
- Hopes that police won't suppress this peaceful demonstration
- Won't leave until Chief Executive Carrie Lam scraps the proposed extradition bill
The government has already postponed the second reading of the bill in hopes that it would calm tensions but their ploy has been easily overlooked. The fear now is that the protests could turn more violent if positions harden over the next few days but let's hope that it doesn't arrive at such a situation.
